Gees - Langs de Geeserstroom
Een meander, oude bomen en vele vogels. We wandelen langs de Geeserstroom
De Geeserstroom is een verlenging van het Loodiep, waar we al vaker wandelden. We parkeren onze auto bij de vogelkijkhut aan de Bollemaweg. Vanaf hier wandelen we over het fietspad welke parallel loopt aan de Geeserstroom.
De Geeserstroom en de plassen hieromheen zijn duidelijk een populaire plek onder de vogels. Zwanen, ganzen, eenden, ooievaars en ga zo maar door. Je ziet ze hier allemaal. Het oude landschap tekent een prachtig beeld. Dit is overduidelijk een oud natuurgebied.
Een echte route hebben we niet gevolgd, al lopen er in dit gebied wel vele wandelroutes. Voor makkelijkere toegang kan je de auto dan ook parkeren bij de parkeerplaats Boswachterij Gees aan de Tilweg. Dit is tevens het begin van vele wandelroutes.
Naast wandelaars is dit gebied ook erg populair onder de fietsers. Hierom bleef in ons geval de hond aan de lijn. Vele mensen willen genieten van dit prachtig oude stuk natuur.
