Nieuw Balinge - Langs de ijsbaan
In de winter kan je er heerlijk schaatsen. Als er geen ijs ligt is het ook een mooie plek voor een wandeling.
Je rijdt Nieuw Balinge uit over de Mantingerweg. Dit is een doodlopende weg met aan het einde een ruime parkeerplaats. Vanaf hier open je het hek en loop je zo de heide op.
Er zijn vele routes om hier te bewandelen. Wij kozen voor een wat kortere variant. We sloegen direct linksaf en liepen over de heide richting de ijsbaan. Op een zondagmiddag is dit een plek waar je veel andere wandelaars tegen zult komen. Houd hier dus ook rekening mee. Op verschillende plekken langs de route vind je tevens dispensers voor poepzakjes. Een handige hulp wanneer je ze zelf bent vergeten.
Een combinatie van heide, oude bomen, bossage en de ijsbaan, welke zonder ijs natuurlijk gewoon een mooie plas is. Ik heb hier de hond de hele route aan de lijn. Wegens de vele andere bezoekers valt dit aan te raden.
We gaan er met de zomerdag nog een keer heen. Ik verwacht dat wanneer de heide en de verdere planten en bomen vol in bloei staan, deze plek nog beter tot zijn recht komt.
